Collective Giving
Latino Giving Houston members make equal contributions to a charitable fund held by the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
Members are engaged in the grant making process through which member contributions go to support deserving organizations making an impact in the Houston Latino Community.
We want to encourage you to join Latino Giving Houston. Now more than ever, the Latino community in Houston needs the support of their neighbors. LGH is a giving circle started 13 years ago with the idea of promoting philanthropy in Houston's Latino community, and to make a collective impact with our giving. With a few early supporters, we were able to raise $3,500 for a grant to the Academic Achievers Program at Austin High School in 2010. Since then, we have granted $92,500 to 13 local nonprofit organizations that serve the Latino community in the Greater Houston area. We are building a movement, and we want you to be a part of it!
With a volunteer board and help from LGH members, we are able to raise funds throughout the year, review grant applications, and vote for the nonprofit organization that will receive LGH's yearly grant. In 2022, we granted $5,000 to HGI Counseling, a local nonprofit organization with over 40 years of experience offering counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
LGH is a fund with the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Donations are tax-deductible and your donation in 2023 will qualify you to become a voting member in 2024. Help us get there by donating here:Click Here to Donate.
